Spaghetti n' Meatballs

- 1 lb. Angus beef meatballs
- 4 Garlic gloves minced
- 1 lb. Spaghetti
- 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt
- Handful chopped parsley
- Fresh ground black pepper
- 5 Leaves of basil thinly sliced
- 28 oz. Marinara sauce
- 1 Medium sized onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 2 tsp Onion powder
- 3 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil divided
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer the frozen angus beef meatballs to the baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes.
Fill up a large pot with water and bring to a rapid boil. When it begins to boil, add a pinch of salt and the pasta. Cook until al dente.
Heat a medium pot over moderate heat. Drizzle in 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Along with the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Saute for 3 to 5 minutes or until the onions soften.
Add in the tomato sauce, onion powder, and herbs. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Lower the heat to a simmer and allow the sauce to cook for approximately 10 minutes. Place the cooked beef meatballs into the tomato sauce. Stir well.
Drain the pasta and transfer to a serving dish. Toss the pasta in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Laddle the tomato sauce and meatballs over the pasta. Top off the dish with freshly sliced basil. Serve with garlic bread.
