Cuisine American
- 1 lb. Organic strawberries
- 2 cups Cold water
- ½ cup White vinegar
- 16 oz. Dark chocolate
- 8 oz. White Chocolate
- Sprinkles optional
- Gold foil optional
- Edible glitter optional
In a large bowl combine the water and vinegar. Add in the strawberries and allow them to soak for approximately 10 minutes (If any strawberries appear bruised or have blemishes discard).
Rinse the strawberries with lukewarm water and dry carefully. Transfer the strawberries to a cooling rack lined with paper towels. Cover the strawberries with plastic wrap and refrigerator overnight (allows the strawberries to completely dry before dipping into chocolate).
Remove the strawberries from the refrigerator and allow them to reach room temperature.
Melt the chocolate as desired.
Once the chocolate is melted begin dipping the strawberries. Grab the strawberries by the steam and dip them into the chocolate.
Remove any excess chocolate from the bottom of the berry by scraping using the edge of the bowl or cup.
Place the chocolate covered strawberry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to set.
Decorate the chocolate covered strawberries as desired. If adding sprinkles be sure to add them before the chocolate sets on the berries.
Store the decorated strawberries in an airtight container for up to 48 hours. We highly recommend to eat right away.
